• irlanda önce gelir anlamındaki slogan. 1798 ayaklanmasından beri tüm hibernia keltlerinin çığlığı...
• "eire go bragh" ve "erin go bragh" şeklinde de söylenebilir. benim bildiğim daha çok "sonsuza kadar irlanda" anlamını taşıyor. ayrıca fianna fail'den ve fine gael'den önce, michael collins'in ve de valera'nın birlikte çalıştığı sinn fein'in de bayrağında da kullanılmıştır. bayrak o dönemlerde bağımsız irlandayı sembolize ediyordu. yeşil üstüne sarı yoncaların olduğu bayrak, 1922'de irlanda'nın kısmi bağımsızlığı kabul edildiğinde irlandanın bayrağı olmaktan çıkıp sadece partiyi simgelemeye başlamış, yerini de bildiğimiz üç renkli^* bayrak almıştır.
