• creedence clearwater revival grubunun lideri john fogerty bu şarkıyı yazdığında, amerika birleşik devletleri başkanlığı konumunda richard nixon bulunuyordu. fogerty, richard nixon sempatizanlarından değildi ve başkana yakın olan insanlara daha iltimaslı ve öncelikli davranıldığını düşünürdü.
