• bozkırın göbeğinde doğdum ve senelerdir burada yaşıyorum. bırakın okyanusu ne de denizi yıllardır gölbaşı'na bile gitmedim. denize girmeyi pek sevmem, deniz kültürünü hiç bilmem. hiç bir zaman martı sesine uyanmadım ve sabah kahvaltımı onlarla hiç paylaşmadım. deniz kıyısında sevdiğim insanla elele dolanıp ona yakamozu gösterip, yüzüne vuran meltem ve o pamuk gibi yanaklarında parmaklarımı gezdirmedim. deniz kıyısında içip içip sarhoş olup 'skerim laan' diye denize hiç atlamadım, bırakın okyanusu.
  
  benim hiç hatırladığım bir anım yok deniz kenarında. okyanuslar ah lan keşke orda bir yerde olabilseydim. keşke ayakkabılarımı çıkarıp kıyıya vurmuş köpüklü dalgalar bana filmlerde görmüş olmamdan daha çok şeyler ifade etseydi. keşke onunla sahilde tanışsaydım, keşke onu okyanus kenarında sevebilseydim.
  
  dünya üzerindeki en güzel aşk şarkısı olan bu eser bende böylesine ahmakça ve aciz duygulara vesile oluyor. melih gökçek ankara deniz değil okyanus getir yada bir an önce şu küresel ısınma gerçekleşsin, denizler yükselsin buralara kadar gelsin artık. ölecek eskimolar, foklar ve hollanda laleleri için şimdiden gerçekten çok üzgünüm. ama ben üzgünüm.

• ne kadar kötü hissedilirse hissedilsin dinlenildiği an kısa da olsa bi huzur hissettiren şarkı. (pearl jam'inkinden bahsediyorum tabii ki)
• seafret'in olan oceans müziği ile mutlu edip sakinleştirecek sanılır ancak sözleri ile gelmeye başlayınca yağmur dolu sokakta küçük okyanusları bulabilirsiniz. ben buldum okyanuslar var gibi de oldu yeniden. dinlerken sözlerine mutlaka kulak verilmesi gereken şarkı.
• kimse belirtmemiş galiba ve lakin ben söylemek istiyorum ki mtv unplagged'daki akustik versiyonu orijinalinden 3-4 kere daha güzel icra edilmiştir.
  
  nazarımda da pearl jam'i pearl jam yapan şarkıların başında gelir... sanki bir az bilinirliği az tanınırlığı var şarkının... en az bir black kadar iyi oysa ki!
• klibinde arya stark'ımızın^* oynadığı seafret parçası. "içinde ocean kelimesi geçen parçaların güzel olması" isimli listeme bir tik daha attırmıştır. tşk syg.
• yıllarca dinledikten sonra tüm albümün (ten) müthişliğinden sıyrılarak şarkıları tek tek keşfetmeye başladığınızda muhtemelen black den sonra gelen fakat verdiği haz açısından sonraya kalmayan her dinleyişimde ağlamama neden olabilecek şarkı.^*
