• iskoçya'nın gayriresmi milli marşlarından biri^**. bu marş genelde askeri törenlerde kullanılırken flower of scotland uluslararası spor müsabakalarında kullanılmaktadır. god save the queen'in yalakacılığından kat be kat daha onurlu marştır adanın onurlu halkı için.
  
  yine britanya kolonilerinde de askeri tören ve resmi cenaze törenlerinde bu marş çalınır. hatta amerikan filmlerinde bir devlet görevlisinin cenaze sahnesinde gaydalarla çalınan müzik budur.
  
  bunun yanı sıra amerikalı pop grubu ames brothers 1958 yılında bu bestenin üzerine güfte yazmışlardır, üçüncü versiyon olarak da bunu ekleyelim;
