  here's some psychological detailing: tony mentions in a session with melfi^* in season 5 (unidentified black males) that he was jumped by two black guys who took his shoes and cut his head. in this ending, we have a shot that purposefully shows tony removing each shoe. and bingo. the cut on his forehead from the fall down the stairs. there's no way that's a coincidence. all the pain and guilt in tony psyche is on display in the dream. chase^* has mentioned how much he loves connection that don't add up. brilliant ending.
