  • paul mccartney şarkısı, sözleri de şöyle:

sitting in the stand of the sports arena
waiting for the show to begin
red lights, green lights, strawberry wine,
a good friend of mine, follows the stars,
venus and mars are alright tonight

what's that man holding in his hand?
he looks a lot like a guy ı knew way back when
ıts silly willy with philly band
    could be ... oo-ee ...

what's that man movin' cross the stage?
ıt looks a lot like the one used by jimmy page
ıts like a relic from a different age
    could be ...oo-ee ...

    ıf there's rock show
    at the concertgebow
    they're got long hair
    at the madison square
    you've got rock and roll
    at the hollywood bowl,
    we'll be there ... oo yeah ...

the lights go down - they're back in town o.k.
behind the stacks you glimpse an axe
the tension mounts you score an ounce ole!
temperatures rise as you see the white of their eyes

    ıf there's rock show
    at the concertgebow
    you're got long hair
    at the madison square
    they've got rock and roll
    at the hollywood bowl,
    we'll be there ... oo yeah ...

ın my green metal suit ı'm preparing to shoot up the city
and the ring at the end of my nose makes me look rather pretty
ıts a pity there's nobody here to witness the end
save for my dear old friend and confidante - madamoiselle kitty

what's that man movin' to and fro?
that decibel meter doesn't seem to be reading low.
but they was louder at the rainbow
    could be .... oo-ee ...

    ıf there's rock show
    at the concertgebow
    they're got long hair
    at the madison square
    you got rock and roll
    at the hollywood bowl,
    we'll be there ... oo yeah ...

    ıf there's rock show ...

    ıf there's rock show ...

    ıf there's rock show ...

jet! ı can almost remember their funny faces
that time you told me that
you were going to be marrying soon.
and jet, ı thought the only
lonely place was on the moon.
    jet! jet!

jet! was your father as bold as a sergeant major?
how come he told you that
you were hardly old enough yet?
and jet, ı thought the major
    was a lady suffragette.
    jet! jet!

ah, matter, want jet to always love me?
ah, matter, want jet to always love me?
    ah, matter, much later.

jet! with the wind in your hair of a thousand laces.
climb on the back and we'll
go for a ride in the sky.
and jet, ı thought the major
    was a lady suffragette.
    jet! jet!
  • at first glance ı noticed a vigorous woman and a sleeping man who were contrasting with each other.than ı noticed in this painting we can see much more examples of binary oppositions such as love versus war , man versus woman , sacred versus profane which create a sense of harmony
ın roman mythology venus is the goddess of love , married to god of fire vulcan and mars is the god of war. this painting depicts venus and mars after their sexual intercourse which is bold because this was a love affair.mars, who appears on the right, is ecstatic and sleepy after the relationship and completely naked except for the fabric that covers his crotch.with his unarmed, leaning backwards body and fallen head, he seems extremely passive and weak.the image of the god of war, free of armor and weapons, reflects the image of a man totally defenseless to the audience.he is conquered by love.on the other hand, the picture of the left side of venus appears vigorous. she rests on a pillow under her arm and watches her napping lover. venus has a neat and controlled posture that contrasts with the ecstatic position of mars. ın the same way, venus is fully clothed, despite the naked body of mars.ın the picture we see four baby shaped fauns. one is dressed in the helmet of mars and plays with mars with the other two. the other one is having fun in the armor of mars. the one at the front is blowing a shell whistle to awaken mars. but mars sleeping deeply has no idea about them.the god of war appears weak, while the god of love appears vigorous. the painter may have interpreted it as a love defeats the war. there is also the belief in the middle ages that sexual intercourse weakens the man and gives power to the woman.the horn of the fauna facing venus is white and the ones facing the mars are darker and the faun in the mars’s armor has diabolical expression . venus is also depicted in her white dress and with a pure face meanwhile mars seems be surrendering to temptation . above everything we can notice wasps, which illustrates the stings of love .they may also be little detail for the vespucci family (vespa= wasp). as far as we know botticelli admires simonetta vespucci.
