• amerika’da her yil, tiyatro alaninda kayda deger basari gosteren profesyonellere verilen odul -nam-i diger “tony awards”. adini antoinette perry adli unlu oyuncudan almis. ilki 1947’de duzenlenen torenler genellikle balo salonlarinda, aksam yemegi formatinda yapilirmis. zaman zaman broadway’e de tasindigi olmus. 1967’den itibaren televizyondan yayinlanmaya baslayan torenlere ilgi daha da artmis. resmi tony odulu ise, bir yuzunde komediyi ve tragedyayi simgeleyen iki maskenin, diger yuzunde antoinette perry’nin silueti olan bir madalyonmus.
