• discipline albümünü bana sevdiren parçalardan olmuştur. discipline'i ilk dinlemeye başlayacağım sırada 1981'in king crimson'a neler getirdiğini ve red'den sonraki ilk stüdyo albümlerinde robert fripp'in 1975-1980 arası birlikte çalıştığı peter gabriel ve david bowie gibi isimlerden etkilenip bunu müziğine yansıtabilmiş olabileceğinin hayalini kuruyordum ve bu yüzden discipline'i belki de in the court of the crimson king'i ilk dinleyişim kadar saf bir neşe ve dikkatle dinlemeye koyulmuştum. elephant talk ve frame by frame new wave ve 1977 ve 1978'in experimental ögelerinin fripp'in kendi dehasıyla buluştuğu parçalar olduğu gözden kaçmamaktaydı. matte kudasai ise albümün parlayan yıldızı olarak kendini göstermekteydi. favori king crimson dönemim hala wetton'lı dönem olduğu halde yani larks tongues in aspic, starless and bible black ve red'i en iyi kc albümleri olarak sıralayabildiğim halde 1981-1984 dönemi king crimson'da asla dinlemeden edemeyeceğiniz tınılar, sözler bulabilirsiniz. kc her zaman kc'dir. sadece fripp değişir ve bu hep olumlu yönde olmuştur. grubunu bu kadar değiştirip yine de her zaman sevdirebilen ender insanlardandır, candır.
