• bu aslan kral filmlerinden "simba' s pride" da, engin alkan tarafından seslendirildiği yetmiyormuş gibi, bir de yupendi diye bir şarkı söyleyerek bizi mest etmiştir. maymun değil, engin alkan diyorum.
• bu yıl cannes film festivali'nde yer alacak ilk kenya yapımı film. fakat film lezbiyenliğe özendirdiği gerekçesiyle kenya hükümeti tarafından yasaklandı.

• simba'nın kirvesi olan mandril. kendisi biraz kafadan çatlaktır. yalnız bu durum sanatına olumlu yansımıştır. şarap içip çizim yapmak favori aktivitesidir.
• wanuri kahiu'nun yönettiği 2018 çıkışlı kenya yapımı film. birbirine rakip iki muhtar adayının kızları kena ve ziki'nin birbirine olan aşkını anlatıyor. film eşcinselliğe özendiriyor gerekçesiyle kenya'da yasaklandı. sonra 71. cannes film festivali'nde gösterimini yaptı.
