• herhangi birmetal türüne dahil edilemeyen, içinde black metal, death metal, doom metal, grindcore, ve thrash metal türlerinden örnekler taşıyan grupların yaptığı müzik türüdür. kısaca en kısa zamanda en kafa şişirem müziktir bence.
• ilk defa bir konser afişinde karşılaştığım metal müzik türü. lakin aklıma gelen ilk şey bu müziği icra edecek olan grubun sahneye kaykay, bisiklet vs. gibi extreme sports sınıfına ait öğelerle çıkabilme durumuydu. yanımdaki arkadaşımın yarılması geçince yaptıkları müziği bir sınıfa sokamayanların almış oldukları ortak karar sonucu ortaya çıkan isim olduğunu söylemişti.
• black veya death metal öğelerini yeterli bir seviyede içeren bütün metal tarzlarına extreme metal denilebilir. sınırları çok belli olmayan şemsiye bir terimdir, spesifik bir tür değildir.
